Whale Watching

If you intend to visit The Whitsundays between June and September, then you’ve picked an absolutely perfect time for a holiday. During these months, the waters surrounding the islands become filled to the brim with humpback whales, all looking to find warmer waters. If you are lucky, you’ll spot a whale or two from the beach, but you’re even more likely to spot one of the gentle giants if you’ve hired a yacht for the day.

If you’re afraid of heights, then this activity might not be for you, but if you’re not, then it could be one of the most memorable experiences of your life. Skydiving, in general, is a breathtaking experience, and that is just above a few fields in the middle of nowhere. Imagine skydiving over the sea instead. You’ll have a bird’s eye view of the islands, the water, and The Great Barrier Reef, which is something you won’t be able to get out of your head anytime soon. It will be scary, but it will also be amazing.

There is so much to do in The Whitsundays that you couldn’t possibly get it all done in one short trip, so why not stay awhile? Who knows, you might even be able to set foot on all of the 74 islands.
