If you only had enough money to travel to one place this year then it should be Canada. This country has sights for everyone from the adventurous explorer to the chilled-out vacationer. Beautiful cities and wild, stunning scenery. It’s picturesque but it’s by no means a sleepy place. There are lots of things to see and do in this incredible place if you know where to travel and which routes to take. Here are some a few of the greatest things about Canada. You shouldn’t stop at our list, of course; this is just the tip of the iceberg. Keep exploring beyond the things suggested in this article.

Niagara Falls.

Right on the US-Canada border is Niagara Falls, and it draws visitors from both sides of the border. It’s not hard to see why because these three falls are truly spectacular. They comprise of the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls, and they have the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world. You might say that you’ve seen a waterfall before and there’s nothing special about seeing another, but this really the only one you ever need to see. After you’ve seen Niagara Falls in the flesh, you can then say that you never need to see another waterfall ever again.

Incredible mountains.

Canada certainly has a lot of variety when it comes to its natural landscapes. Lusciously green fields and forests become bitter wintery landscapes the further you travel north. Still, that doesn’t mean your exploration should stop at the place where green landscapes turn white. There are many incredible mountains and stunning landscapes up in the cold north. And you might want to do some research into Canadian ski courses because there are some brilliant slopes out there on those beautiful mountains.

Whistler Blackcomb is certainly one of the best mountains for tourists and seasoned pros to explore, but there’s a never-ending array of mind-boggling enormous mountainous ranges to see up in Canada. Of course, the great thing about ski resorts is they’re also a wonderful place to relax and soak up the scenery even if you’re not a hardcore skier; you could give a couple of slopes and go and then retreat back to the retreat.

The beautiful cities.

You might want to see the most famous cities in Canada, such as Vancouver and Toronto, but there’s much more to Canada than those two places. They’re great cities to visit, of course, but you might want to venture out a little further and try somewhere a bit different. The city of Calgary is a fantastic place to explore, no matter what kind of traveler you are. The famous Telus Spark is a science museum like no other; you can interact with the exhibits in a way that’s almost unheard of for any other museum, but we won’t spoil it for you. There are also lots of quirky tea shops out there, such as Ollia Macarons & Tea. Expect the most delicious macarons you’ve ever had.

  1. What? No Quebec? No eastern shore? You’ve got to cover the eastern half of Canada the next time, you’re just missing the soul of what it means to be Canadian without it!

  2. I’ve been lucky enough to see a few of the places you listed – all worthwhile to visit for sure! I think the best thing about Calgary is it’s proximity to the mountains! So much adventure within a short drive! Thank you for this post!

    1. Thanks for stopping by and reading! Calgary is for sure one of the places I’d love to visit when I head to Canada. Was just in Vancouver on a lay over and the airport was awesome and the people so friendly lol

      1. You can visit Calgary Zoo as well. With food and restaurants, I would highly recommend Nando’s – they serve peri-peri chicken and their sauces are to die for 🙂
